I am Emily Holden (McDougall), and I am an artist born and working in Edinburgh, Scotland. My work consists of both my fine art practice and medical art work. Over recent years I have been working professionally as a medical illustrator and animator. Both areas of my work reflects my fascination with anatomy and nature - capturing the beauty of the concealed structures that surround us constantly.
After completing my Masters of Science in Medical Art at The University of Dundee with Distinction, and spent 2 years working at the University of Dundee as a Medical Artist and Digital Learning Technologist.
I currently work as an E-learning Content Developer, creating online modules for the NHS.
I am a professional member of the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI), BIOMAB (Biological and Medical Art Belgium) and a registered medical illustration practitioner with CAMIP (Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Illustration Practitioners).
I love working with clients to create visually dynamic work and constantly learning new skills to develop my practice.
