Work in Progress - Explaining Type 1 Diabetes

So I am beginning a new personal medical illustration project and thought I would share some of my work in progress pictures. I am in touch with a few fellow medical artists in a Facebook group and we have decided to set random projects to keep us all motivated and expanding our portfolios! So, as Diabetes Week UK is at the end of June, we are using that as a deadline for some diabetes related work.

Another great part of being in touch with my ex classmates and fellow medical artists is that they can answer any questions I have about works in progress. My first question was, what size are red blood cells in relation to capillaries and arteries... And since they are squished into capillaries... Where do the white blood cells fit? 

I'm working on it and hopefully I will have an accurate capillary, white blood cells and insulin soon!
